How it works

 

It is totally normal to feel anxious or nervous when thinking about therapy. 

Our first session can last up to 1 hour and is at no cost. This gives you the opportunity to tell me about your reasons for coming to therapy, concerns you may have, or changes you would like to make along with goals to work towards. I am likely to ask questions to guide you through this. You can also see how you feel talking with me and ask me questions about how I work.

If you feel comfortable and would like to continue working together all future sessions are 50 minutes.

We will work at a pace that suits you, therefore the number of sessions is dependent on your requirements. With focus on the therapeutic relationship we form, I aim to support you in identifying, understanding, and changing aspects of your life that may be having a negative impact on your wellbeing.

As a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy I abide by their Code of Ethics which can be viewed below.
